Great news for your food service accounts! Transport® Mikron™ insecticide recently received supplemental labeling from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use as a spot or crack-and-crevice treatment in both food/feed areas and non-food areas of food/feed handling establishments in all states except New York, Hawaii and California, where registrations are pending.
Food/feed handling establishments are defined as places other than private residences in which exposed food or feed is held, processed, prepared or served. Other areas included in the supplemental label are:
- Receiving
- Storing
- Packaging (canning, bottling, wrapping, boxing)
- Preparing
- Edible waste storage
- Enclosed processing systems
- Serving areas
Spot or crack and crevice applications of Transport Mikron may be made while the facility is in operation; however, cover or remove food from area being treated.
Since its launch in 2011, many professionals have turned to Transport Mikron insecticide for their general pest control accounts. Featuring a combination of bifenthrin and acetamiprid in an advanced microemulsion formulation, Transport Mikron delivers fast knockdown and long-lasting residual control against over 30 insects. This includes pests common to food-handling establishments, like cockroaches, ants (excluding pharaoh and Argentine ants) and flies.
With its uniquely clear formulation, Transport Mikron insecticide won’t leave a messy residue behind. Once mixed, Transport Mikron forms a remarkably stable solution and won’t settle out over time, so it doesn’t require constant agitation. With Transport Mikron, pest management professionals can feel confident that you’re applying the correct amount of active ingredient from the first job to the last.
